Our Mission

Advantage Management, located in the bustling River North district of Chicago, Illinois, proudly manages over 140 Community Associations in the City of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. Our client-oriented and personal-touch style is what separates us from the rest. We customize our professional management services for our individual client properties so they are able to utilize any or all of our resources depending on their management goals and financial needs. With our interactive management approach, we are available to listen to the needs, goals, and desires of our Boards of Directors and each Homeowner. Advantage Management manages its client properties in accordance with the Illinois Condominium Property Act The Common Interest Community Association Act and Not-For-Profit Act. We encourage ongoing education for our Property Managers through Community Associations Institute and require all Property Managers to be licensed.

Accreditations

Advantage Management is one of a small handful of property management companies with the distinguished honor of earning the “AAMC” (Accredited Association Management Company) in the state of Illinois.  The Community Association Institute (CAI) created this accreditation to differentiate property management companies who provide a unique and diverse service and ensures that their staff have the skills, experience, and integrity to help communities succeed.

The Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC) credential is a seminal corporate achievement, but it’s more than a singular accomplishment. It’s a mindset, an attitude and an ongoing commitment that inspires superior performance and company-wide professionalism. It symbolizes a corporate culture that is based on knowledge, expertise, customer service, and integrity.

Adam Stolberg

Adam Stolberg

President

CMCA, AMS, PCAM

Mr. Stolberg has a Bachelors of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  In 1999, Stolberg co-founded Advantage Management. Mr. Stolberg has helped grow the firm from one condominium client to over 140 condominium, homeowner, townhome, cooperative, commercial, and apartment rental properties in the City of Chicago and surrounding suburbs, servicing over 8,000 units.  Mr. Stolberg oversees all aspects of the firm on a daily basis. He is a member of CAI and has earned his CMCA, AMS, and PCAM designations. Mr. Stolberg is very active in the community and is serving a second term as a City Councilman for the City of Highland Park, where he has been a lifelong resident.

Neal Shamis 2022

Chief Operating Officer CMCA, AMS

Mr. Shamis has a Bachelors of Science degree in Business from Indiana University. He has over thirty-five years’ experience in real estate brokerage and property management. He began his real estate career with Martin & Marbry in the early 1980s. During this period Mr. Shamis also spent time in the financial markets in securities and derivatives trading both options and futures at both the Chicago Board of Trade and The Chicago Board Options Exchange. In 1999, Mr. Shamis co-founded Advantage Management. Utilizing his strong financial background and organizational talents, Mr. Shamis has helped build Advantage Management into a local player in the property management field. During 2003, Mr. Shamis formed Advantage Properties Chicago to fill a need generated by the management company for real estate brokerage. Advantage Properties has brokered and closed numerous deals for their clients since its inception. Mr. Shamis holds both CMCA and AMS designations from CAI.

Vice President of Marketing and Business Development and Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Blatt has a degree in Marketing and Speech Communications from Illinois State University.  Mr. Blatt has 25 years of experience in Real Estate Development and Management and holds his CMCA designation from CAI. With his past in real estate development, he understands construction and major projects many buildings face.  His hands-on approach with his understanding of the importance of keeping projects on time and within budget helps his associations run smoothly and keeps them financially sound. With a career filled with Marketing expertise, he will also be running all of Advantage’s Marketing including Social Media, Newsletters along with advertising and promotions.

Kenny Parquette 2022

Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager

Mr. Parquette has a Bachelors of Science degree in Telecommunications from DeVry University. With a background in the Technology Sector and over 20 years of experience in Property Management Mr. Parquette has honed his skills for effective Property Management. Mr. Parquette has a reputation for self-motivated productivity and carries a willingness to immerse himself in challenging opportunities. He has effectively transferred nearly a dozen new construction Condominium projects from the Developer to the elected Board of Directors. Mr. Parquette finds satisfaction in seeing improvement and repair projects through from initial discussions to final inspection.

Andrea Bodenstein has been with Advantage Management for 13 years and is the Director of Operations.  Prior to being with Advantage Management, Andrea had an extensive career in retail management and sales and then went on to create and run a successful wardrobing business.  Andrea studied English at The University of Colorado

Mr. Rupert has earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Business Administration from DeVry University. He has also obtained a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Devry University. Mr. Rupert is currently sitting for his C.P.A. From 1996 – 2000 Mr. Rupert served in The United States Navy earning the rank of OS3 before his honorable discharge. Mr. Rupert has been with Advantage since 2012 and has worked in the property management industry for 17years.

In the almost 8 years I have lived in Building 4 at Shermer Place, I have never seen the landscaping and flowers look as beautiful as they have this year. The potted arrangements are over the top and so lush, and fitting for what you might expect from an address in Northbrook. The colors, the variety and the freshness of the blooms are above and beyond. In light of the weather challenges you have had to deal with, even areas of grass look greener and more vibrant than ever.

I just want to commend you and the landscapers, to thank you, and to let you know your considerable efforts were not lost on me. I am already mourning the loss of those gorgeous summer flowers, as we enter fall, but am so excited to see what next spring and summer brings. I don't know if you can outdo yourself.
