At Advantage Management, we believe in building strong, thriving communities, not just managing properties. For over 25 years, we’ve proudly served over 150 communities across the Chicagoland area, including HOAs, Co-Ops, Condominium Associations, Commercial Condominiums, Master Associations, and Property Owners Associations.

Our success stems from the dedication of our entire team and the strong partnerships we cultivate with our associations. This includes the hard work of your volunteer Board Members – their commitment is invaluable. We also deeply appreciate our homeowners, whom we are always here to serve. We understand that success is a two-way street, built on collaboration and mutual respect.

Setting the Standard for Excellence

While we always meet state and local licensure requirements through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR), we strive for something more: the highest level of excellence in property management. That’s why we’ve aligned ourselves with the Community Associations Institute (CAI), the most recognized organization in our field.

On October 27, 2015, Advantage Management joined an elite group of companies by achieving the Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC) designation from CAI. This national accreditation recognizes outstanding professional community association management companies built on a foundation of experience, professionalism, and continuous education. At the time, we were one of only 150 management companies nationwide, and just 9 in Illinois, to earn this prestigious recognition.

What the AAMC Designation Means for You

Earning the AAMC designation is no small feat. It signifies a company’s deep commitment to the industry and its clients. To qualify, management companies must:

  • Have a minimum of three years of experience providing community association management services.
  • Ensure their senior manager holds a Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation – the highest individual credential in the industry.
  • Have at least 50% of their managers and supervising managers (with at least two years of experience) hold a professional manager credential such as Community Association Manager (CMCA), Large Scale Manager (LCM), or Accredited Management Specialist (AMS).
  • Maintain comprehensive fidelity, general liability, and workers’ compensation insurance.
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, licensure requirements, and the CAI Professional Manager Code of Ethics.

As Neal Shamis, Advantage’s Chief Operating Officer, states, “This designation displays our commitment to our craft to our clients, our staff, and even our competitors.” We re-accredit our AAMC designation every three years through ongoing education for our managers and supervisors, ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry best practices and continue to hold current CAM licenses through the IDFPR.

Our Promise to You

As Advantage Management continues to grow, our core mission remains unchanged: to instill confidence in every client, homeowner, and board we serve. Being an AAMC-accredited company ensures we are committed to our profession, up-to-date on the latest industry issues, and dedicated to providing exceptional service.
We sincerely thank each and every one of you for your support over the years and look forward to continuing to serve your communities for many years to come.
