As the coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to have an increased impact on our communities, we understand that some of our clients may be negatively affected by this global outbreak. We are monitoring the news around the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak on a daily basis. At Advantage Management, the health and safety of our community residents, colleagues, employees, and vendors are our top priority. While this is a rapidly evolving situation, please be assured we are taking the necessary steps to avoid potential service disruptions. We have contingency plans in place if we need to alter our normal business operations in any way.

In keeping with our business continuity plan, we have:

Taken precautionary measures to keep our offices clean, following guidelines established by the CDC.

Communicated internally that our employees and staff should stay home if they feel sick.

Technology that allows our staff to work remotely, in the event we determine it is necessary to close our offices.

General Services
While all our offices currently remain open, we encourage you to utilize the available Advantage Management technology tools and resources.  In contacting our office via telephone, it is imperative that you leave a message if you do not speak directly to the person you are trying to contact.  Our technology will forward messages to employee’s emails, cell phones, and private numbers so that they can receive and address your inquiry in a timely fashion. You may also utilize our texting platform by texting from your cell phone directly to Advantage’s main office number at (312) 475-9400.  Our texting software will route your text directly to your property manager.  We encourage you to utilize our website at www.advantage-management.com to access documents, check balances on your account or make payments.

Preventative Measures at our Properties
Advantage Management has taken several precautionary steps to protect the health and wellbeing of our communities while continuing to provide the high-quality service you have come to expect from us. We have spoken to our door-staff and janitorial and maintenance staff and are making sure common, high traffic areas are routinely cleaned, and additional wipe downs of doors handles, elevator buttons, common bathrooms, mailboxes, and other “high touch” areas are addressed.

The coronavirus issue is such a moving target the best answers regarding preparedness need to be provided by the medical community.  That said, we will continue to do our best to ensure our resident communities and Boards are up-to-date on all information concerning the virus in order to implement proactive measures designed to mitigate the spread of the virus. Condominium, homeowner (HOA) and townhome associations should follow guidance issued by the Center for Disease Control/County Health Department with respect to preparedness to address the outbreak. At this time, we have not seen any guidance specific to multi-unit buildings. The Center for Disease Control’s website is a reliable resource for information on COVID-19 and other viruses. It is continuously updated with recent developments, allowing users to track the spread of disease, understand the risks, and stay current about expert-recommended practices to keep themselves and their communities safe.

Residents are encouraged to wash their hands frequently, stay hydrated, get adequate rest, and avoiding unnecessary contact with others in group settings.

We will continue to work with your individual Boards to determine the need to hold in-person meetings over the next several weeks or if teleconference or Skype meetings will be utilized instead of canceling or postponing meetings.

We will continue communicating often to keep you informed of the latest developments. As always, our plans and actions will be rooted in our mission and values as we strive to do the right thing for our colleagues, clients, and communities.

Thank you for your business and your continued loyalty—your confidence and trust are important to us. We look forward to continuing to serve you.
