At Advantage Management, we don’t just manage properties—we build thriving communities. We currently proudly serve more than 160 associations across Chicagoland, ranging from Condo Association, HOAs, High Rises and Co-ops to Commercial Condominiums and Master Associations.
Our 26 plus years of success is rooted in a simple philosophy: Success is a two-way street. It is built through the dedication of our staff, the invaluable commitment of volunteer Board Members, and a deep respect for the homeowners we serve.
Setting the Standard: The AAMC Distinction
While we strictly adhere to all Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) requirements, for Managers and Management Companies to strive for a higher standard. Advantage Management is proud to hold the Accredited Association Management Company (AAMC) designation from the Community Associations Institute (CAI).
This is a remarkably exclusive circle. Out of thousands of firms in Illinois, only eight hold this designation. Nationwide, fewer than 300 companies have achieved this “gold standard.”
What makes an AAMC firm different?
To maintain this accreditation, a firm must meet rigorous criteria that most general management companies cannot:
- Expert Leadership: A senior manager must hold the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) credential—the industry’s highest individual honor. Our President, Adam Stolberg, has held this license since 2010.
- Certified Staff: At least 50% of our managers must hold professional CAI credentials (CMCA or AMS). At Advantage 100% of our Managers hold a license.
- Proven Experience: A minimum of three years of specialized community association service.
- Integrity & Security: Strict adherence to the Professional Manager Code of Ethics and high-level fidelity insurance.
“This designation displays our commitment to our Industry to our clients, our staff, and even our competitors,” says Neal Shamis, COO of Advantage Management.
The “Advantage” Difference: Local & Personal
We pride ourselves on being different from the national companies. Here are the ways that Advantage stands out:
- No Call Centers: When you call during business hours, you speak to a receptionist or your specific management team—someone who actually knows your property.
- Targeted Education: Our in-house monthly newsletter boasts a “read-through” rate far above the national average because we provide content that actually matters to your daily life.
- Annual Webinar Series: Now in its third year, our 2026 series brings in top legal, financial, and insurance experts to keep our Board Members ahead of industry trends.
